Evo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for our Beaverton Client. You will build and leverage partnerships with business and technology teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the data and information needs from both a functional and technical perspective to design, develop, and build solutions to meet the data and information needs of the business. This contract opportunity is scheduled to be 1-year.

  • Perform as Data Modeler, designing a robust, cross functional reporting and analytics landscape that meets the needs of multiple Product functions
    • Conduct interviews and work sessions with business partners and technical team members to clarify business and functional requirements, information and data definitions, and current and future processes
    • Leverage various program data artifacts including Conceptual Data Designs, Logical Data Models, Legacy systems, reporting & analytics solutions to create a logical data design that can be leveraged within and outside of the product functions
    • Conduct reverse engineering logical models from physical models where applicable
    • Create context diagrams and associated systems process models to aid in clarity
    • Work closely with all team members to ensure that all data, information requirements are clearly understood and resolve any conflicts
    • Query, profile, and summarize data to help validate designs, inform decision-making, and identify data quality issues
    • Evaluate how effectively information is meeting business requirements at key points in the client's business process and recommendations for improving effectiveness
  • Develop, and build the technical solution in alignment with current technology requirements
    • Create technical specifications to meet the requirements of the design
    • Partner with engineers to build robust solutions
    • Assist with test planning and execution for new and modified processes
    • Aid in creating build plans and participate in integrated testing as needed
    • Participate in innovation for data solutions, reference architecture, and industry standards
  • Perform as a program team member, demonstrating team skills including
    • Communicate consistently and clearly to all team members where needed to ensure requirements are understood, questions are answered, issues are raised and solutions are delivered effectively and efficiently
    • Escalate issues and concerns in a timely manner
    • Perform planning and tasks according to current methodologies

  • Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and tools, changing needs, processes, and ambiguity
  • 5+ years in information technology (primary focus in data analytics/reporting platforms)
  • 3+ years logical data design
  • Expert SQL skill level
  • 4+ years PL/SQL on Oracle 11g or higher
  • 2+ years Python and/or Java
  • 2+ years working with AWS Data services including S3, Data Pipeline, RDS, EC2, and others
  • Basic Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • 2+ years using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
  • Hadoop or other experience with big data
  • Experience implementing and working with ETL Tools such as Informatica and Fusion
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow, Autosys
  • Experience with JSON, Web Services
  • Experience using version control for source code (GIT)
  • Experience building solutions with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Cognos)
  • Knowledge of Product Master Data in the Apparel/Footwear/Fashion industry
