Evo is seeking a Release Deployment Lead for our Beaverton Client. As a member of the Technology Change & Release (CRM) team, act as a Launch Coordinator for the deployment of enterprise releases with the ability to work at nights and weekends when needed. This contract opportunity is scheduled to be 1-year.

DUTIES:
  • Develop and maintain release deployment plans to support enterprise releases
  • Collaborate with multiple Technical and Functional teams
  • Act as escalation point for any release deployment issues or needs
  • Ensure all changes are visible to and approved by appropriate stakeholders.
  • Be a driving force for constantly improving performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, availability, and usability of the release deployment process
  • Publish key metrics on the efficiency and effectiveness of release deployment
  • Exhibit a high level of individual initiative
SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work
  • DevOps and/or Release Engineering experience desired
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand complex systems with multiple dependencies
  • Understanding of business impact translated to systems thinking
  • Strong Leadership and influencing skills
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to adapt to rapid change
  • Some technical background desired (especially related to Release Engineering and/or DevOps; release deployment and/or environment management)
  • DevOps and/or Release Engineering experience desired
  • Strong communication skills preferred
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external team members
  • Ability to consult with senior peers to learn through experience and be able to retain and apply items learned
  • Experience coordinating and running environment planning meetings
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain sense of urgency
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and may be required to work additional hours, as needed to support work loads
  • Experience with Agile and/or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field, with 2 years of additional experience required in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years professional experience with at least 3 years in project or release management
  • 3 years of IT experience in a corporate environment
  • 3 years of DevOps or Release Engineering experience preferred
  • Proven understanding of environment management, software configuration management
  • Experience implementing software projects into complex production environments
  • Understanding of environment management, software configuration management
  • Excellent written and oral skills important, including presenting to groups desired
