Evo is looking for a QA Performance Tester for our downtown Portland Client. The QA Tester (Load Testing) works under the direction of the Test Lead and the Tech Arch Performance Lead to provide direction and leadership for the creation of the functional make-up of the load test. The workload profile is the mix of transactions and transaction types, the frequency of occurrence in a specific time period, the number of connections required, and the times between transactions representative of the anticipated load on the systems at go-live. For the performance test initiative, the Test and Production systems will be tested. This position also provides oversight and of test script creation, participates in script creation and review, and builds the performance scenarios. This contract opportunity is scheduled to be 6-months.

  • Collaborate with the Test Lead and Senior QA's to determine best standards and procedures to be used in the performance test process
  • Ensure adherence to standards and procedures related to test script development, testing methodology and documentation
  • Provide analysis of key testing criteria, document the testing environment and oversee the creation of the required testing scripts
  • Execute load/performance tests in HP Performance Centre
  • Produce Summary Report for each load test as one of the inputs for analysis
  • Work with Process Team Business Analysts to create workload profile
  • Create Workload Scenarios in Performance Centre for each type of performance test
  • Create and review automated scripts representing key business processes/components of the workload profile
  • Ensure that the client's Automation Framework standards are incorporated into performance test process
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of the automated load test development process and automated test suites
  • Report the performance test metrics under the direction of the Test Lead
  • Work with the Test Lead to coordinate performance test activities with the Enablement Teams and Scrum Team for Legacy interfaces
  • Coordinate with the Tech Arch performance lead for load generation and test execution
  • Understand test goals and dependencies of the performance testing initiative to ensure risks are effectively tested
  • Oversee performance test preparation and execution across multiple products and interfaces
  • Ensure that Performance Test process is adequate, documented and communicated to ensure agreed quality levels for the applications under test
  • Partner with Business Analysts to ensure workload requirements are met and are accurately tested
  • Work with the Test Lead to coordinate resources as necessary to support the project performance test initiative
  • Create and manage trusting relationships, between the business units and the testing team
  • Promote continuous improvement
  • Participate effectively in meetings

  • Monitor results to ensure completed work meets with desired results
  • Experience with HP Performance Centre in designing and executing performance tests
  • Experience in scripting with VuGen or LoadRunner
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and testing methodologies
